In March of 1997 Pastor Jim Alter accepted the call to pastor Grace Baptist Church in Sidney, where he has now been the pastor for 22 years. He has a passion for the Lord, biblical preaching, evangelism, discipleship, and world missions. He is co-founder of the Ancient Baptist Press, editor of the Ancient Baptist Journal and is an advisory board member of the Baptist History Preservation Society. Pastor Alter and his wife Laura have two grown children, Lydia and Jacob.
